Air Con Regas & Repair in Coolham, Near Horsham

Air conditioning regas, diagnostics and repair for all makes and models. R134a from £65 + VAT, R1234yf from £125 + VAT.

Air Conditioning You Can Rely On

We've invested in a new air conditioning machine, so we can now offer air con servicing and regassing alongside full diagnostics on systems that have stopped working properly. Over time every air con system loses a little refrigerant, and once the charge drops too low the air stops getting cold. A regas tops the system back up and gets it blowing cold again.

We regas both R134a and R1234yf systems, covering older and newer vehicles alike. If your air con keeps losing its charge or isn't performing as it should, we can diagnose the fault, trace leaks and check components such as the compressor and condenser, then carry out any repairs needed. As with all our work, we'll explain what we find and give you an honest quote before going ahead. We cover all makes and models — the same standard of care we bring to our servicing and repairs and diagnostics.

    Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the type of refrigerant your car uses. A regas on an R134a system is £65 plus VAT, and a regas on the newer R1234yf system is £125 plus VAT. R1234yf is more expensive because the gas itself costs considerably more. If you're not sure which your car takes, give us a call with your registration and we'll let you know.

As a rough guide, most vehicles built before around 2017 use R134a, while newer vehicles use R1234yf, which was introduced to meet tighter environmental regulations. The exact changeover varies by manufacturer, so the safest way to be certain is to check the label under the bonnet or give us your registration and we'll confirm it for you.

Air con systems lose a small amount of refrigerant naturally over time, so the most common cause is simply that the gas has dropped too low to cool effectively - a regas usually puts that right. If the system loses its charge again quickly, there's likely a leak or a faulty component such as the compressor or condenser. Our new air con machine lets us diagnose non-working systems and pinpoint exactly what's wrong.

As a general rule we'd recommend having your air conditioning regassed every couple of years. Running the system regularly, even in winter, helps keep the seals lubricated and the system healthy. If you've noticed the air taking longer to cool or not getting as cold as it used to, it's worth booking a regas.

Yes. As well as regassing, we diagnose and repair faulty air conditioning. Using our new air con machine we can test the system, trace leaks and check components like the compressor and condenser. We'll explain what we find and give you an honest quote before carrying out any repair work.
